Sometimes, when the demo is over and it’s time to practice, a student will ask, “Same partner?”

And I sometimes say, “Only if you like your partner.” It’s a joke, and it gets a chuckle, but I do like to see what people do after.

Are you anyone’s favorite training partner?

Does anyone seek you out before class and ask to stick with you for the whole class?

Do you ever notice you’re one of the last to get a training partner?

Do people avoid eye contact with you when it’s time to drill?

How about when it’s time to roll?

Does it matter? Why or why not?
